New French Language Books

Le Secret & La Licorne - Hergé
When Tintin stumbles across a model ship at the Old Street Market, he buys it as a gift for his friend Captain Haddock. But this isn't just any old model ship- it's the Unicorn, built by one of Haddock's ancestors, and it holds a clue to finding the treasure of a notorious pirate! Tintin and Haddock aren't the only ones on the trail of the priceless loot and Tintin gets kidnapped by crooks!

Tintin, who is investigating a strange can of crab and a drowned sailor, meets Haddock, a sad wretch who is kept supplied with alcohol while his scheming first mate, Allan, continues to run a drug operation.

Le Lotus Bleu - Hergé
Picking up where he left off in the Egyptian adventure Cigars of the Pharaoh, Tintin travels to China in The Blue Lotus, a tale which is generally considered Herge's first masterpiece. It's also Tintin's only foray into actual history.

Tintin journeys with his friends, such as Captain Haddock, to Peru, where he rescues Zorrino, who becomes his guide, and encounters an Incan curse while attempting to find the Temple of the Sun.\

Just who is trying to sabotage the supply of oil to the rest of the world? In order to find out, Tintin, Snowy, Haddock and the Thompson Twins are off to the Middle East to catch whoever is responsible.
